Fresh arrivals: New openings and bigger, better spaces at our stations

From freshly baked favourites and fast casual food to immersive entertainment, our stations continue to welcome new brands and invest in better experiences for passengers.
Over the summer months, we have seen a number of new openings, relocations and refurbishments across the portfolio. Together, they support our ambition to transform stations into vibrant, best-in-class destinations offering innovation, convenience and outstanding customer experiences.

Thoughtful design at King’s Cross

Gail’s has opened a new bakery on the mezzanine level at King’s Cross, bringing its signature bakes to one of Britain’s busiest stations. This is the third Gail’s to open across our portfolio, following the successful launches at Liverpool Street and London Bridge.

The bakery’s design takes inspiration from the local heritage of the area, including the nearby Granary Building. A striking red pergola frames the kitchen and counter, putting baking at the heart of the space, while wheat-inspired details reinforce the brand’s bakery credentials. A restored baker’s table also gives a characterful centrepiece a new lease of life

More choice and space at Liverpool Lime Street

Liverpool Lime Street has welcomed an enlarged Starbucks in a new location on the concourse.
Moving from its previous kiosk into a larger seated unit gives passengers more space to pause and enjoy a coffee before travelling. The new location also enables Starbucks to offer its full menu range. Upper Crust has relocated into Starbucks’ former kiosk, ensuring the station retains its existing mix of brands and categories.

An improved grab-and-go experience at Euston

Itsu has refreshed its piazza unit at Euston, introducing its latest branding alongside improvements designed to make the customer journey quicker and easier.

New refrigeration provides more stock space, while the updated service line brings Itsu’s hot food offer into the main customer journey. Fully integrated self-service screens allow passengers to pick up fridge items, pay and go, providing greater convenience for customers with limited time before their train.

Pret grows its offer at London Bridge

Pret has completed a major refurbishment and extension at London Bridge, transforming a previously compact unit into a much larger and more capable space.

The extended unit includes a new kitchen, enabling Pret to expand its range and introduce more hot food. Updated branding, an improved layout and a small amount of perch seating give customers a better place to grab something on the move or pause briefly before continuing their journey.

Refreshed fashion at Manchester Piccadilly

Accessorize has unveiled a refurbished store at Manchester Piccadilly, giving passengers a brighter, refreshed space to browse accessories and gifts while travelling.

Creating stations worth arriving early for

These openings demonstrate the breadth of experiences our stations can offer. From a quick coffee or freshly prepared meal to shopping, socialising and entertainment, our evolving retail mix helps make stations more useful, enjoyable and relevant to the communities they serve.

By working with established favourites and distinctive destination brands, we are continuing to create more reasons for passengers and visitors to arrive early, stay longer and discover something new.
