Freight in Scotland

Rail freight plays a vital part of Great Britain’s industrial, economic and sustainability strategy, and Scotland’s railway is a key component of this. Scottish exports, including Whisky, Shortbread and bottled water are major users of rail freight.

There are eight intermodal rail terminals in Scotland, including Inverness, Aberdeen Craiginches, Grangemouth and Mossend. On average, 250 freight trains transport over 85,000 tonnes of goods on Scotland’s Railway each week.

We have 104 freight site lettings within our portfolio. Whether you are looking to connect freight, or looking to a line side unit with great transport links, our freight sites could be perfect for your business.
